College Hosts Eighth Graders for CTE Day

Edgecombe Community College hosted eighth graders from South Edgecombe Middle School and Martin Millennium Academy for Career and Technical Education (CTE) Day on April 6. CTE Day highlights CTE programs at the college.

“We want students to be exposed to the career paths and real-world educational opportunities available at Edgecombe Community College,” explains Kathy Webb, coordinator of Lifelong Learning at ECC and director of CTE Day.

Students enjoyed and participated in demonstrations in agribusiness, construction, facility maintenance, cosmetology, welding, and drones.

Eighth graders from West Edgecombe Middle School will attend CTE Day at ECC on April 13.
