ECC Celebrates Black History Month with a Focus on Achievement
Edgecombe Community College students and employees, college leaders, and area residents gathered to celebrate Black History Month on February 22 in McBryde Auditorium on the Rocky Mount campus. The theme of the event was “Black History: Strong Roots, Amazing Achievements.” Princeville Mayor Bobbie Jones (shown) shared keynote remarks, and Minister Willie Moore of Word Tabernacle Church performed several musical selections. The Black History Month celebration was sponsored by College and Career Readiness and the Student Government Association.
