ECC Explorers Travel to Fayetteville

A group of students from Edgecombe Community College participated in a one-day excursion to Fayetteville, NC. ECC President, Dr. Greg McLeod, served as the chaperone and tour guide for the trip, which was a part of the ECC Explorers Travel Series. Since 2023, McLeod has taken students to various locations in an effort to expose them to new areas and possibilities.
Taking place during fall break, the day trip included stops to Fort Bragg, including a tour of the Bragg Training and Education Center. At the center, degree programs are offered to the Fort Bragg community from Fayetteville State University, Fayetteville Technical Community College, Methodist University, UNC Pembroke, Northeastern University and Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. The students who traveled to Fayetteville also had the opportunity to learn more about Fayetteville Technical Community College’s swiftwater rescue program.
A select location is chosen every fall and spring for ECC students, with first choice provided to members of the Student Government Association, Student Ambassadors and inductees of Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society.
