ECC Reads Across America

A number of Edgecombe Community College faculty and staff participated in National Read Across America Day on March 2. Dr. Greg McLeod, Viola Harris, Dr. LaShawnda Washington, Stacey Staton, Laura Brown Evans, and Carole Mehle enjoyed reading with young students. The day was established by the National Education Association in 1998 to help get kids excited about reading. Shown is Viola Harris with 3rd graders at Rocky Mount Preparatory School.
