Health Experts to Help Shape the Future of Students and Programs at ECC
The Division of Health Sciences at Edgecombe Community College held its inaugural Advisory Board Meeting recently on the Rocky Mount campus. The college hosted 61 participants from health sciences and health occupations programs at ECU Health, ECU Health Edgecombe Hospital, UNC Health Nash Hospital, Edgecombe County Department of Social Services, Carolina Family Health Centers, Inc., Carolina Regional Orthopedics, P.A., Robersonville Physicians Family Medicine in downtown Tarboro and others.
According to Nacole Everette, dean of Health Sciences at ECC, the purpose of the meeting was to gather expertise and insight from the participants in order to guide the future of ECC’s students and programs.
“Edgecombe Community College is committed to continuously enhancing the quality of our health sciences programs,” said Everette in the invitation letter to participants. “Your participation is vital in helping us stay at the forefront of healthcare education and ensuring our graduates are well prepared for the evolving demands of the industry.”
Those who attended the April 29 meeting discussed program updates, industry trends and opportunities for collaboration.
Everette says the Division of Health Sciences plans to hold these meetings during the first quarter of each year.
