She read to pre-kindergartners at Coker Wimberly Elementary School in Battleboro (shown above) and to 1st graders at Princeville Elementary School in Tarboro (shown below). Harris, who lives in Tarboro, serves on the Edgecombe County Board of Commissioners.

Edgecombe Community College graduated eleven cadets from its Sixth Basic Academy for Basic Law Enforcement Training on February 26.
