Edgecombe Community College practical nursing graduates participated in their pinning ceremony held July 31. There were 14 students in the practical nursing class of 2025. These graduates have met the education requirements to take the NCLEX-PN®, the National Council Licensure Examination, which is required for practice as a licensed practical nurse.

“We are honored to celebrate 14 remarkable graduates who have demonstrated resilience, compassion and dedication throughout their journey in the practical nursing program,” said Ami Denton, director of nursing programs. “Pinning is more than a ceremony—it symbolizes the transition from student to nurse, and the beginning of a lifelong commitment of caring for others. We could not be prouder of this group and the impact they will make in the communities they serve.”
