Student Jessica Smedberg attended the conference virtually.

Edgecombe Community College Radiography students broadened their educational experience last week when they attended the North Carolina Society of Radiologic Technologists Annual Conference, held March 30-April 1 in Wilmington.

“This was the students’ first conference,” says Desiree Duncan, Radiography program chair. “All of these students will graduate in May, so it was beneficial for them to see firsthand the benefits of professional development and networking. They did an incredible job representing Edgecombe Community College.”

ECC offers a two-year degree in Radiography. In addition, ECC provides a CT/MRI diploma, CT and MRI certificates, and a Mammography continuing education course for American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) eligible individuals.

An ECC degree in Radiography qualifies graduates to take the ARRT national exam for certification and registration as medical radiographers.
