Seven Complete Paramedic Training at ECC

Edgecombe Community College recently graduated seven students from its Paramedic program. Seven students graduated from Edgecombe Community College’s Paramedic program on January 17.

The graduation ceremony featured comments by Dr. Patrick Heins, president of ECU Health Edgecombe Hospital and a member of the ECC Board of Trustees.

The one-year Paramedic program includes classroom instruction, clinical rotations, and an EMS field internship. Upon successful completion of the Paramedic program, graduates are eligible to take the North Carolina Paramedic certification exam.

  • Christopher Tinder

ECC’s Paramedic program is unique in that graduates receive credit toward an associate degree in Emergency Medical Science, which provides certification in a wide variety of emergency medical programs.
