2025 Honda featured as ECC Golf Tournament Prize

Hitachi Astemo has donated a 2025 Honda CRV Hybrid Sport, valued at $39,155, from Davenport Autopark of Rocky Mount as a hole-in-one-prize for ECC’s upcoming golf tournament.

In Memory of Berry Anderson, Sr. Presents the Edgecombe Community College Foundation 38th Annual Golf Tournament is happening Thursday, Oct. 3 at the Maccripine Country Club in Pinetops. Each team will be comprised of four players who will also have a chance to win prizes for closest to the pin on all par threes and more. Morning and afternoon teams will be divided into flights based on their skill level. Morning players will begin at 8:30 a.m., and afternoon teams will start at 1:30 p.m.

“The golf tournament is the Foundation’s biggest fundraising event of the year,” says Tameka Kenan-Norman, executive director of public information and institutional advancement at ECC. “This event has been essential in providing student scholarships and supporting the operations of the Foundation. The tournament typically raises between $20 and $30 thousand dollars each year.”

Professional Long Driver Jeff “Critter” Crittenden will be featured in the tournament again this year. Participants can also “Putt with the President,” Dr. Greg McLeod.
