Twenty-four law enforcement officers completed recent Crisis Intervention Team training at Edgecombe Community College. Agencies represented included the Edgecombe County Sheriff’s Office, Pinetops Police Department, Vidant Edgecombe Hospital Police, and Wilson County Sheriff’s Office, among others. EastPointe in Rocky Mount facilitated the class.
Edgecombe Community College graduated eleven cadets from its 4th Basic Academy for Basic Law Enforcement Training on October 24. The graduation ceremony featured comments by Rose Rivera, platoon leader. Squad leaders Patrick Sharpe and Jacob Strickland presented the class plaque on behalf of the graduates to the College.
