Drone Enthusiasts Benefit from ECC Class

Despite 100 degree temps, nine students participated in Edgecombe Community College’s first Drones 101 class held July 30 on the Tarboro campus. ECC instructor Thomas Parrish taught the morning lecture session on topics such as safety and legal issues, and Tom Zajkowski and Evan Arnold of NCSU/NextGen Air Transportation Center led an afternoon demonstration of a DJI Inspire 1 Pro drone from the NC State UAS Center.
