Dean of Students Completes Leadership Program

Samanthia Phillips, dean of students at Edgecombe Community College, recently completed the Chief Student Development Administrative Leadership Academy. A 10-month program, the academy focused on numerous topics, including serving students, continuous improvement, communications, higher education legal issues, and resource management. Phillips has been dean of students at ECC since 2013 and an ECC employee since 1997. She served students in Basic Skills for 12 years, then joined Student Services in 2009.
