ECC Hosts Career Exploration

Area youth explored career options through the Be Pro Be Proud NC mobile workshop set up recently on the campus of Edgecombe Community College. The tractor trailer is equipped with interactive simulations to showcase a wide range of skilled and technical workforce jobs, such as truck driving – CDL training shown. The Strategic Twin-Counties Education Partnership sponsored the event. In another initiative to introduce youth to technical careers, the college will host Edgecombe high school students at the Career and Technical Education Fair on February 8 on the Tarboro campus. The annual event highlights career and technical programs at the college, such as agribusiness, construction, and health occupations.
