Financial Literacy workshop held

Edgecombe Community College students had a lesson in life skills recently thanks to a Financial Literacy workshop sponsored by Providing African American Males the Edge to Succeed (PAAMES). The goal of the workshop was to lay a foundation to build strong financial habits early in order to avoid missteps that can lead to financial struggles. Held on the Rocky Mount campus, the event was led by Lynn Battle (front row, 3rd from right) and Rebekah Skinner (front, 5th from right) from the State Employees Credit Union branch on Fairview Road in Rocky Mount.
