Health Sciences Students Learn by Doing
Edgecombe Community College Nursing (red scrubs) and Respiratory Therapy (turquoise scrubs) students recently collaborated in an emergency simulation to save a simulated patient’s life. During the realistic training scenario, students assessed the patient, performed CPR, intubated the patient, and worked together to stabilize the patient. By relying on patient simulation and a team approach in a realistic healthcare environment, the college is raising the standard of healthcare education throughout the region.
