Longstanding ECC Trustees Retire

James Long, a 37-year member of the Edgecombe Community College Board of Trustees, and Bernice Pitt, a 20-year member, recently retired from the board. College trustees and staff paid tribute to them during a reception honoring their service to the college. Long served as vice chair of the board from 2007 to 2013, chaired the Buildings and Grounds Committee, and served on the Executive Committee. Pitt served on the board’s Personnel Committee and Nominating Committee.
