Students Explore Careers Through Virtual Reality
Virtual and augmented reality were the portal for career exploration at an immersive learning experience recently at Edgecombe Community College. Industry partners, career coaches, area nonprofits, local community colleges, and Edgecombe Early College High School participated in the event, sponsored by the North Carolina Community College System (NCCCS). The event was an “exciting opportunity to bring the community together to discuss training the next generation of the workforce using innovative technologies,” notes Dr. Lane Freeman, director of online learning at NCCCS.
