Surgical Technology Students Excel in Outreach

Members of Edgecombe Community College’s Surgical Technology class recently attended the North Carolina Association of Surgical Technologists meeting at Duke Regional Medical Center in Durham. The students took part in a hands-on workshop and were able to see how the NCAST business meetings are held. The community outreach project for this meeting was the Ronald McDonald House, and ECC students answered the call with a generous number of donations. In addition, Program Chair Suzi Shippen-Wagner was voted onto the State Board of Directors to serve a two-year term. Way to go, Surg Tech!
