ECC Personnel Attend Leadership Summit

Edgecombe Community College instructors and staff attended a recent two-day leadership summit sponsored by the University of North Carolina Wilmington Community College Collaborative.
Attending the Aspiring Leaders Summit from ECC were:
- Courtney Baggett, student counselor
- Kim Byron-Barnes, program chair, medical assisting, medical office/office administration, ophthalmic medical personnel
- Ami Denton, director of nursing programs
- Rebecca Stamilio-Ehret, instructor of physics and industrial trades/technology
According to Stamilio-Ehret, “We were actively engaged in topics such as accreditation, budgeting, conflict resolution, and diversity, equity, and belonging, among others.”
The UNCW/3C Collaborative is a university-community college partnership initiative created to develop strong future leaders for North Carolina’s community colleges.
