For the tenth year in a row, recent graduates of Edgecombe Community College’s Practical Nursing program achieved perfection on the national licensure exam.
August 2021 graduates achieved a 100 percent pass rate on the National Council Licensure Examination for Practical Nurses (NCLEX-PN). The NCLEX-PN is required for practice as a licensed practical nurse and is the capstone to nursing studies.
Twelve students completed the Practical Nursing program in August 2021.
Last year, ECC’s Practical Nursing program was ranked #3 in the state after receiving a perfect score from PracticalNursing.org, a national nursing advocacy organization.
“Since its inception in 2011, our program has had a 100 percent pass rate,” says Ami Denton, program chair and director of nursing programs at ECC. “We are very proud of these students for their outstanding performance on the NCLEX-PN.”
