Latasha Sledge Named a TRIO Partner of the Year

Latasha Sledge, holding the award, was among three community college partners named TRIO Partner of the Year.

Edgecombe Community College’s Human Resource Development Coordinator, Latasha Sledge, was among three community college partners recently named TRIO Educational Opportunity Center’s Partner of the Year. Edgecombe Community College is a collaborative partner in TRIO, along with Pitt Community College and Martin Community College. Through ECC’s TRIO partnership, students are connected with an outreach specialist who works with them to complete various services related to the college admissions process through graduation.

When accepting her award, Sledge shared her experience as a first-generation college student and encouraged participants to take advantage of the many resources TRIO has to offer. Find out more about the TRIO program at ECC.
