Two members of the Edgecombe Community College Student Government Association’s Executive Board attended the North Carolina Comprehensive Community College Student Government Association Spring Conference in Raleigh, NC. The N4CSGA is a student-based and student-run organization.
During the conference, held March 21-23, ECC students joined student delegates, advisors and guests representing various schools in the NC Community College System. Students networked and fellowshipped with other SGA members from “the Great 58,” attended enriching workshops, and listened to an informative Community College Presidents’ panel discussion. The Great 58 refers to the 58 state-supported community colleges throughout North Carolina.
ECC doubled their spirit points since the last conference by donating snacks, adopting a N4CSGA Board Member and participating in the Tools4Schools Service Project. Spirit points are a system used by the N4CSGA to promote school spirit, engagement and participation among students. These points serve as a form of recognition for students who actively participate in various service activities, events, and initiatives that foster a sense of community and pride within the institution.
