Performing arts events take place in Keihin Auditorium, a 1,020-seat concert hall located in the Fleming Building on the Tarboro campus. The purpose of performing arts events is to help meet the cultural needs of ECC’s service area by presenting quality performances in a variety of disciplines at affordable prices.

Keihin Auditorium opened in May 2004 with an inaugural concert by the North Carolina Symphony. In December of that year, ECC presented its first major popular music concert featuring B.B. King.

The first season of the Edgecombe Performance Series began in the fall semester of 2005. Sixteen seasons of the series have taken place, and Season Seventeen is underway. Series performances have included:
