Beginning in Fall 2025, the College launched the Esports gaming program. Seeking to build a league of gaming competitors for The National Junior College Athletics Association Esports (NJCAAE), the Esports Scholars scholarship would help to attract students with a passion for gaming and competitive play.
Students must meet the following requirements
- Must be U.S. citizens and a 2026 year high school graduate of either Edgecombe County or surrounding county with an unweighted (GPA) of at least 2.6 and have proven gaming experience and passion for being on an Esports competitive team.
- Must be continuously enrolled in a degree program approved for financial aid. Scholarship amount $2,000 over two years.
- Scholarship recipient is required to meet additional gaming requirements outlined by the gaming coach to continue to receive the grant funding.
Application Instructions
Complete and submit the online Esports Scholars Scholarship application and all required items. The completed application must be received by the deadline indicated on the application.
