The college offers scholarships each year, totaling more than $100,000. Requirements for scholarships vary; however, the primary criteria include financial need, scholastic ability, specified program of study, residency status, and participation in community activities. Applications must be returned to a financial aid office by the established deadline. Students who submit incomplete applications are not considered. Most scholarships are awarded during the fall and spring semesters, and are disbursed in two even payments. The following is a listing of scholarships currently offered by the college.

The North Carolina Community College System (NCCCS) Office presents the 2022-2023 Scholarship Guide: Eligibility Criteria and Guidelines for Scholarship Administration. This guide covers the scope of scholarships from state, corporate and private sponsors for North Carolina Community college students. This guide is for informational purposes and may not contain a complete listing of all scholarships for students attending NC community colleges. All applications should be completed and submitted to the Edgecombe Community College (ECC) Financial Aid Office FAO. Once complete application is received, the FAO will send the applications to NCCCS.
