Special Summer Training Programs

In addition to the traditional summer camps for kids, Edgecombe Community College has developed a number of innovative new programs for local students and recent high school graduates. Space is limited, so please register early!

Health Careers Academy

June 10 – June 13 | 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.
June 14 | 9 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
Rocky Mount campus
ECC is hosting its first Health Careers Academy for Edgecombe County and Nash County rising high school seniors or Early College seniors/super seniors. Edgecombe REACH Youth Citizens Academy

June 10 – June 14 | 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Tarboro campus
Edgecombe REACH Youth Citizens Academy is open to high school juniors and seniors. Students will explore community resources and tour local industries to learn about potential job opportunities. Contact spences@edgecombe.edu or (252) 618-6648.

STEPs4GROWTH

Begins June 10
Tarboro campus
STEPs4GROWTH is available to eligible 2024 high school graduates and includes paid on-the-job training at Hitachi Astemo, with potential for full-time employment. Working Edge Academy

June 17 – June 20 | 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Working Edge Academy is designed for Edgecombe County residents who don’t have plans to attend college or enter the military.
