Thank you for your willingness to work with our grant program so we can support our student-parents’ success.
Edgecombe Community College sponsors a Childcare Financial Assistance Program designated to assist students with childcare needs during the academic year. Financial assistance will be available from September to May, or until funds for the year are exhausted. If funding is exhausted or the student is terminated from the program, childcare providers will be notified and students will be responsible for their child care financial obligations. Financial assistance is not available during summer sessions.
ECC pays for childcare services by the month based on set rates. We do not offer financial support for children enrolled in K-12 school or publicly provided preschool program (privately provided preschool programs where the parent pays the fees are an exception). ECC does not offer financial support if the student receives funding assistance from another source, such as their local Department of Social Services or Down East Partnership for Children.
The childcare center is required to verify attendance by 12 p.m. on the 5th of each month via an online or printed form. Printed forms can be scanned and emailed, or brought in person by the student or a daycare representative. Faxed forms are not accepted and mailed forms may not be received by the deadline. The ECC business office will mail payment after forms are submitted. Payments are usually received around the 15th of the month.
Please complete and submit these forms as soon as possible to be recognized as a vendor in the payment system.
