Adult Basic Education I

Educational programming includes the following skills areas: basic academic skills, high school academic skills, vocational academic skills, life skills, and social skills. These educational opportunities enable the mentally disabled adult to become more independent and self-directing, to benefit from occupational training, and to acquire skills to meet and manage community, social, work, and personal adult responsibilities.

Edgecombe Community College works cooperatively with Tri-County Industries in Rocky Mount and other approved facilities for operation of the program.

Interested individuals can receive more information by calling or visiting the College and Career Readiness Center on the Rocky Mount campus. The Center is open 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday.
